Do not buy this item it does not provide any way of getting the answers and the company will not sell the answers to anyone that is not a nurse. If you are trying to self teach this is not the book for you.
The book is very good and addresses all Federal and State requirements. Very easy to understand and well written. I will be interested in getting the instructor training manual as soon as it becomes available. I miss having review questions at the end of each chapter. I also miss discussion questions for the students to discuss in class. I like the pictures showing skills being done, as it gives definite guidelines to follow.
This is one of the best teaching tools I have ever purchased. It is used by many schools in Ohio and I highly recommend it. I also suggest purchasing the accompanying workbook to be be used as adjunct material to help students learn.
This is definitely good for anyone doing CNA training. It has everything you need except the 75hrs it says you need are actually 100. That's been changed.If you read it you'll know what I'm talking about c:
The book was very informative. It really gave me the information I need to pass the CNA exam. I had all the information I needed to know before I purchased the item. The teacher told me what book to pay and it was right on. Getting used was also the way to go. The book was in real good shape and it had highlighted the main points I need to know so that was nice. i am the type of person who likes to head in to things as prepared as can be.....i am entering a cna program in a few weeks...so i bought this book to get the basics of what i will be learning and im almost positive this is more than just basics.....glad i made this purchase they teach the skills, basic medical terminology, the work setting, laws and such for you and the patient and much more im sure when class starts i will be well ahead of the curb
I never read it, but since my husband received a 97% score on his CNA final using this book, it must be good :)
I used this book in my 2 week CNA class. Was a breeze! Book also contains practical illustrations for performing clinical duties in a step-by-step method. Great photos of medical equipment, real-life images one might see of patients, and many more. This book made my externship more bearable, as most situations were described in detail prior to my experiences. Great for the aspiring nurse. Best wishes!
