I had to buy this book for my POLS 130 class at the University of Hawai`i: West O`ahu. Its an interesting read if you have a good teacher who pairs the reading with the lecture so you can further understand what is going on.
OK text, opinionated, but very informative. Written in a manner which encourages introspective questions. Succeeds in promoting discussions regarding text material.
the book is a bit biased, but its easy to understand and i love the current and past examples used in the book.
This book is awful. The foreword should have been written by Fidel Castro. If your school requires this book, get your money back for that class and get another elective, ya heard? This book could have been written by any 12-14 year old from Cuba because anti-Capitalism is driven into their impovershed heads from day one.
The price is fantastic for the class I' m taking the teacher said we will not need it as much so this is just perfect to purchase an old instead of a new book!!!
