I'm a practitioner and an instructor. I found this easy to navigate (the ebook version and text to speech is also convenient), easy to understand and not redundant. This is an excellent reference book for those who need review, as well as a great study for those who are encountering this material for the first time. I highly recommend this book and have it loaded and ready to go on my tablet.
All the information needed to review for PALS is here. Everything including the algorithms are clear and easy to read and understand. I would recommend this PALS Review manual to anyone needs recertification for PALS.
A very good book. Enjoyed format. My only complaint was that some of the drug charts would not display in their entirety. Some were cut off. Caught in between page turning it seemed. Possibly a fault of my device. All algorithm charts were complete. I downloaded pocket GUIDE which is very good. All in all, I would highly recommend this E book. And I enjoyed it's portability for studying.
This book was an easy read and a satisfying value. Of course I will still need to study the materials provided in the class itself but I definitely feel better prepared now. The text is easy to read and algorithms are well delineated.
Helped me prepare for the initial certification of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support course. I had taken the course many years ago, so only needed to refresh my knowledge and acquaint myself with the changes over the years. Plus, this was much cheaper than the full manual offered by the American Heart Association.
Exactly what I needed for PALS. The Kindle version of this is amazing. I bought it along with ACLS & BLS. I can take it where ever I go and study at anytime without carrying around all the books. The outline is so easy to follow, and I would highly recommend this PALS handbook.
I wanted a reference that I could use at my leisure. This is a shorten version of the book that I used in the PALS course and formatted for quick reference. Remember it is not as detailed as the course book if you have not taken the PALS course.
I had a difficult time with the new PALS book, I did not feel knowledgeable after studying it so I bought this book. It was not helpful and actually confused some things even more due to inaccuracies. I wish I had a good e-reference for PALS. Some things were good when I was sure that they were correct.
