I do not have a medical background. My background is in the social sciences and teaching. I have decided to pursue a career in the healthcare field. This book gives one foundational knowledge in different aspects of healthcare. I enjoy reading the book. I will not sell this book; I will aid it to my home library.
It's a required book for school, so I'd prefer not to read it but find myself spending time with it anyway. It's got some typos here and there but nothing major. It's great that it's available for rent rather than having to pay 3 times the price to buy.
I am so happy with this purchase! This book is in good condition just as the seller described. It was also a great price for a book that is usually a hundred dollars or more. I also got it in two days because it was shipped so promptly. I'm really happy with this book!
1)If you're a professor, do your class a favor and choose a different, more interesting book for your students.2)If you're a student, reading this book is like reading instructions on how to use toilet paper. Everything is obvious and every ending involves trying to make crap pleasant sounding and unrealistic.
Just started reading this book for a mini-Spring semester class and I am surprised how outdated some of the information is, especially with the Affordable Care Act in place. It looks like there is a more recent version published in Jan. 2016 that is probably more up-to-date. I will be bringing it to my instructors attention.
I'm do glad I got this book. At first I was worried of how the book would look but once I opened the box and saw that the book looked like new I was really happy. I'm very happy that I didn't have to pay full price for the book I got it at a great price it was better than paying $112 dollars for a new book. If I ever need to buy another book witch I know I will, I wouldn't think twice I would buy from them again.
Book was great for class. In great condition as described, were very little markings in the pages which I appreciated. There was very little distraction from studying. I apologize for the delay on this review, it is not a reflection on the seller. I will definitely order again if I see a book I need for school.
Not a bad textbook. Found an error in the math review (Chapter 5) in regards to ratios in which it describes a vinegar and water solution. It says a 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water solution is a 50% vinegar solution. It's a 33% vinegar solution. A 50% vinegar solution is either 1 part vinegar to 2 parts total solution or 1 part vinegar to 1 part water.
