I am an avid fan of tropical infectious disease. It is my main interest in medicine; like a hobby. Hunter's and Manson's are two of the better books on the subject.Although this edition is older, it still provides good fundamental information about tropical infectious disease. I tend to read such books for the background, etiology, epidemiology, pathophysiology, and presenting signs/symptoms of the diseases. One can always get the up-to-date treatment from Sanfords or other resources.A good color encyclopedia is an adjunct to a textbook such as this.
A great comprehensive text. Very cheap. An old edition, but worth the money.
