I started in a Level 3 NICU as a new graduate RN, so I bought this book to help me learn more about neonatal care. It has been a wonderful reference and learning tool. It's very easy to read and understand and is very thorough in the information it covers. I would recommend this to any NICU nurse, regardless of the years of experience he/she has... I promise you'll learn something new!
I have worked in a level III NICU for 8 years, still think this is the best book out there. Kindle books are the best!
This is an excellent reference for the NICU nurse. Easy to understand and the latest evidence-based info. Very helpful when studying for nursing continuing education and certification.
One of my daughter's Christmas presents, an RN. She loves it, brings it everywhere, and can't put it down. She speaks highly of the book and can't say enough about it. I've bought a lot of books. I never thought I would hear that a book was their favorite present. I'm an avid reader and that says it all!
This book is clear and easy to read. Good if you want to understand the whole picture.
I took the RNC recently and this book explained all that I needed when I had trouble with some of the review questions. It is a little on the tedious side, but is very nice to have as a resource. The writing is a little small, but I was able to highlight and make some areas stand out.
Easy to read, great compilation of knowledge. Even some of my more experienced co-workers like to use it as a reference.
I purchased this book in paperback form, as my Kindle is B&W. Well, I wish I had gotten the Kindle version. The only other color in it is lavender (on some of the graphs/tables). Nothing is in "color" as advertised. Save yourself the trouble of lugging a heavy book (>1000 pages) around and consider it a B&W book.
