disappointed that if you want the access to the online portion you have purchase that also for another 45 dollars. It is not clear that it is not included with this book. Very disappointed!!!Had I known I would have just spent the 45 dollars and used the online book with the extra online information.
There is an error in the book on p.270 where the pictures of pectus carinatum and pectus excavatum are incorrectly labeled. Errors like this make me wonder if anything else in the text is wrong. As a student, I don't want to learn abnormalities incorrectly. The only reason I caught this was because my son has one of these chest abnormalities.
This textbook is not easy to study systematically. Poor grammar and organization in my opinion. I would not buy this textbook if it was not required for class.
This version is too busy and the bold text is very small and in light pink which doesn't even stand out. Don't waste your money on the 8th edition...buy the 7th edition. The 7th edition has a better layout, is easier to read and follow.
This edition says on the cover that there are free study resources with textbook purchase, but it is MISLEADING. Our instructor wants us to have the book with the ACCESS code, which this does NOT have. Again, this book does NOT have the online videos and access instructors are recommending despite its cover. I would have just used my school library's copy if I had known.
This text is poorly written and very unorganized. A suggestion for improvement would be to add more pathophysiology and organize topics into complete comprehensive headings that do not need to be repeated in other sections of the book.
Great book! Lots of colored pictures to help you identify abnormalities and unique features. Layout of the book makes for easy reading. Encourages you to read the book instead of skimming over the pages. :) finally a textbook that I want to read
This is my favorite assessment book. The issue is that I am unable to access the online material that is included in the price of the book. Since I am registered as an Instructor on the evolve website; I have no access to the online instructional material.I had to purchase this book twice because the first copy was taken from the faculty office where I work
