I had to buy this for school. It was not my choice. I thought once I got my RN then I wouldn't have to have any more lab manuals. Which is why I burned my lab manual as I danced nude around the fire upon graduating with my Associates' Degree oh so many years ago.Then, the hammer fell and my job and the rest of the world wanted me to have a Baccalaureate in Nursing. Which means re-buying all the junkola I so happily threw away or donated or tore up for use during camping all those years ago.This is a book that walks you through a head to toe assessment. ADVANCED assessment. Which means you're palpating things instead of just looking at the patient with a mix between disgust and pity.I didn't write in the book at all. I made copies of the pages, which I still didn't use. If your'e using this for UTA, just look at the book, don't write in it and don't copy it. Keep it pristine and you can sell it as new to some other sucker who bought into the "ADN AND BSN are the same" malarkey.
The quality of the book is great, easy to read and so on. However, my homework was assigned by page numbers and the numbers did not seem to match up with the hard copy version at all. I ended up borrowing a hard copy version to do my work.

I am disappointed, This book should have clearly stated that it cannot be used without the textbook. I thought here i could find a manual that would guide me through the various assessments in nursing, wrong...Should be considered handbook for the textbook.......
