My aging eyes appreciate the clarity of this map. It's not ultra compact, but it's flexible enough to fold to just the section you want, which is valuable if you're walking around in an unfamiliar city. Its advantage over other maps I have: The small streets are readable compared to the tiny type of my AAA Spiral Guide of Florence, my Streetwise Rome map has similar tiny type and I find the accordion style annoying, and my MapEasy Guidemap to Rome leaves off some small streets and gets too "chatty" in noting landmarks. This map is far more comfortable to follow and I would buy again for other cities as the need arises.
Excellent hard copy city map. Easy to find landmarks which are often shown as three-dimentiobal. Street names are very legible and everything is color coded.
I used this map a lot in Florence and wrote on it, folded it, spread it out, etc. and it held up very well. Most of the time I do not keep a map after going to a place but this one is great and I know I can use it again. Everything is clear and accurate with enough places listed that you can find your way around easily. The writing is large enough to see in dim light too.
My first map had the corners cut and had to be sent back. This is the first map that was big enough to show me where I was actually staying - most of them just do the very city center.
It's easier to point to a map, than the screen of a phone, when traveling through Firenze (Florence) with friends.
