If the next time you want to tell a story, you want to impress your audience, you have to read "Public Speaking: Storytelling Techniques for Electrifying Presentations".Akash Karia analyzes four world-class speeches by four of the best speakers in the world and reveals to us their secrets. An excellent book that should be present in the collection of anyone who speaks in public and anyone who likes to tell stories to friends and family.Arthur

The book provided over 30 tips and numerous examples of public speaking scenarios. The real-life speeches gave context to the advice offered by the author and helped with understanding the significance of each speaking method.

Excellent book with lots of tips for making a very engaging presentation, to work or at any other public events. I found it interesting that he has put in the text of a World Championship speech in there, helps the reader to carefully analyze the details of the techniques used in such speeches.A must-read for people who love to speak in public.

The book was informative and the information was "useable" as opposed to complicated and "theory based." The additions of links to actual talks (and then him writing about the talks) was unique and quite helpful.

This was given as a gift to a new Toastmaster attending a district conference on storytelling. Toastmasters is an international non-profit organization where individuals learn presentation and leadership skills. Most join for the communication skills, and this book is a great first reference, for adding story to engage an audience while making a point for audience benefit. Stories stick, long after statistics have been forgotten.

Read parts, working on one of Akash's other books. All to be a better presenter at our business meetings. Ted talks seem to have a special "feel" to them and I want to bring that to the meetings I speak at.

I love the set up of this book with the video links and the summarized tips. My one fault is with the typos found here and there; I'd say maybe 8 typos which aren't the big a deal, but here is a book sending a great message about being great and it has a few typos - don't you find that annoying? Of course, it is easy to point this out, and I'd rather give the validation the this book is a must for anyone preparing to gov a speech. A a high school English teacher, I will be using many parts of this book in my classroom.

Real page turner, motivating, inspiring, the real deal!If you want motivation, here's the hot sauce! Teaching you how to write speeches, and motivating you at the same time! Charles got the job, lol.
