I have been a (custodial) stepmom for ten years and now have three teen girls. We were aware that these years could be difficult. I bought this (Kindle) book today, anxiously awaiting it's release. I'm a huge fan of the authors.All I can say is thank God for these ladies, their listening hearts to God's encouraging message and their gifts of sharing it.

Finally--A beautifully written, absolutely encouraging, and fully empowering daily devotional for stepmoms! This book is a definite MUST HAVE for any stepmom trying to navigate their way through what is an often a very messy, completely uncharted, and all too often a thankless journey as a stepmomma. It's refreshing & reassuring to be reminded that we do not traverse this journey alone--God remains with us every single step of the way. Furthermore, what a tremendous encouragement to know that we are walking side by side amongst women like Heather, Gayla, and Laura who "get" every single emotion we have felt ourselves. No matter what stage of the stepmom journey you are on, this devotional will delight your heart as it directs you back to the One who loves you with an everlasting and unfailing love. My only complaint is that this was not available 20 years ago when I became a stepmom!!
Beautiful. Thanks for understanding, only stepmoms really know what other stepmoms go through. I read a lot of materials on step parenting. As a mother of three stepchildren I struggle at times with all the challenging issues that arise. Very inspirational book. I love this book and I also love the ones by Step In Faith: A Self exploration Journal for Stepmoms. I recommend this book and the Step in Faith one.
This is a inspirational positive book that you can pick up at any time and boost your *soul*. I love the way it is laid out , so you can look through and pick out what you need that day, to help you in your stepmom journey. I find it very positive and helpful as each day is different when we are trying to find our way as a stepmom. This is a book that you can pull out all through the year and it will help you when you are feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. I would recommend this book to each and every stepmom that is struggling and need some positive and uplifting thoughts and inspiration in their life.
This book has been such a blessing to me. I'm in the first year of stepping and I have no stepmom friends nearby. When I sit down and read entry after entry I am calmed and encouraged not only by the fact that these ladies get it, but they also encourage with prayers and scripture. It's been a lifesaver during those really tough times when you feel like you're going it alone in your own home.
This devotional is AMAZING! I look forward to reading my "shot of encouragement" every morning (if life is too crazy ... every evening). It always speaks to me too, whatever circumstance I'm facing, it always applies and offers encouragement, hope and a sense of PEACE! Thank You so very much for all the wisdom you gals offer!
