Major improvements over the 5th edition (haven't used the 6th). Better and more images and diagrams. This also comes with a code so you can use it from computer, ipad, phone. The formating for using it by phone isn't very useful, but works great for ipad or computer
Miller's review orthopedics got me through residency and initial board certification for Ortho surgery ten years ago. 10 years later the new edition is even better. Better organized, better diagrams, better photos. Terrific testable concept chapter summaries. Great OITE or re/certification preparation.
I was excited to discover a Kindle version of the Miller Review so I could keep the information handy in my white coat pocket. However, I've gotten very little use out of it. The content is the same as the print book, and should be useful as a quick overview of topics, but the layout of the Kindle version is horrendous, making it distracting and difficult to read. Extremely disappointed that the publisher didn't seem to put in any effort forth to actually adapt the content for e-readers.
Great book. Thicker and heavier than its predecessor. The ebook isn't available yet so its a pain to lug this book around sometimes. This book will serve me well through the next 3 years of residency.
This book is a great review of orthopaedics but the quality of the book is poor. I have had this book for under 2 months and the spine is already starting tear out.
