This is a great book for Clinical. Though I own the textbook (2 volume), I didn't want to carry it to clinical. This book fit perfectly with my drug book, Manual of Psychiatric Nursing Care Planning: Assessment Guides, Diagnoses, Psychopharmacology 5th ed; Pocket Companion for Physical Examination and Health Assessment 6th ed; and Nurse's Pocket Guide: Diagnoses, Prioritized Interventions and Rationales 13th Ed in my Overland Equipment Cambridge I bag. Yes i carry all of those books to substitute the larger ones. They are not heavy. It has the Diseases and organized nicely. This is obviously a Pocket guide, not the textbook or the internet. It has good information for the size along with Nursing Management.
Awesome clinical companion. We nursing students were not told we needed this book but many of us used it because it is invaluable in clinical. We end up passing it around to those who don't have it. It has become a necessity and makes you look more prepared. Fits right in your uniform pocket.
Very helpful as a quick reference for only the "need to know" information. Does not explain or embellish the disease process.I took off one star because I feel like they left a lot of disease processes out and when you are trying to look up a disease process, the way they categorize in the index is not always intuitive so I find myself going "atalectasis?" No. "Lung?" No. Um... ???
buy the two volume set and separate code, easier to transport and the binding on the single volume seems to break for everyone in my class. those with two volume set are so much happier
Missing information on many diagnosis I come across on my Neuro floor as a nursing student but it has a lot of great information!
This book is an excellent companion to the ebook.
