I found this book well researched and certainly easy to read, the book provided an overview of many aspects of adoption - in a manner that eased our anxiety about the paperwork and decision making process of adoption. From deciding when to adopt, to choosing a competent agency, to setting expectations of the waiting period, to the paperwork involved, to meeting our child and bringing her home, the book discussed all of the steps in great but understandable detail. I would highly recommend this book as a great adoption resource as it provided calming guidance and detailed procedures to complete the adoption process.
It was well organized, easy to understand and since I'm in Florida I appreciated the very specific references to Florida law. I found the book helpful and filled with good information and cases examples. Not the first book I've read on adoption and this was less overwhelming. Definitely recommend to anyone, even outside of Florida.
Easy to read, follow, and understand. Both my husband and I enjoyed / liked the various example stories about possible instances that could occur while going through the adoption process and waiting for your new child. The text also provided insight as to what to expect along the way and how to prepare yourself.
This book would probably be great for private adoptions. However, if you're interested in foster or international adoption, don't waste your time/money!
A lot of the info pertained to Florida and since I don't live in Florida I didn't think it was as helpful as it could have been.
The book was so easy to read and answered every question I had about adoption. I had no idea that different states have totally different laws and rules about adoption.Thank you to Mr Jeff Kasky for writing such an informative book that everyone can understand!
Very informative book about adoption! Anyone who is planning to adopt should get this book! This has been written by someone personally known to me and I have great respect for what he is doing. Please tell your friends about this book and share it with anyone that might be thinking about adopting a child.
This was a very well written and researched book that answered virtually all of my questions regarding adoption. The format made it a quick and easy read, and was packed chock full of information. Highly recommended.
