If I had time to actually READ it, I am sure I would love this book. I will say from skimming through it to read over specific topics, it explains and illustrates them very well. I have used it more as a supplement to my class lectures than for day to day reading.
I thought this book was excellent at covering the maternity material. The wording wasn't toosuperficial and the various visuals and boxes helped with focusing theinformation into the nursing perspective. There were many times in my readings where I wouldlook at the detailed nursing care plan in the textin order to really comprehend the text. I also liked how the author inserts abox in the text depicting various evidence-based practicestudies and their conclusions.Overall, this book is excellent and a real keeper.
The book was wonderful, I just had a lot of supplemental information that was required in my class because not all the information in this textbook is up-to-date. Otherwise it is a great book and the set up is wonderful.
this book is very easy to read and has lots of charts. I personally don't care for them, but most ppl in class loved them and found them to be very helpful. I love the subject so the easiness of the reading was very helpful.
This book has a lot of information, but it does not go into depth with each aspect of maternal nursing. It will elaborate on things that aren't that important and be extremely brief on things that should have included more details. I had to look up a lot of things online for better understanding.
You can't, repeat CAN NOT print a page from the Kindle version. This is VERY bad, especially when you need to do so for an assignment. No more Kindle textbooks for me. I'll get them from the publisher.
This book is very detailed on the maternity care and women's health care. It gives a better understanding on to care for not only for the pregnant patient, but the baby and family.
Although it's an easy read (i.e the language is very simple and easy to understand), it was not the most exciting/knowledge-inclusive textbook I've ever read. Also, I definitely think for the content, this textbook was way overpriced. It's a good thing I was able to rent this textbook through .Of note, while I am loving 's textbook rental service (through Prime), I wish they would send a "return envelope" (lined with bubble wrap) like Campusrentals does. It would make returns so much better, if I didn't have to go box-hunting for an appropriately-sized box to fit the textbook.
