Nice little book. Although I was brought up with correct table manners, there are many of the finer points discussed in this book that have helped me to "raise the bar." For those of us who realize how much of one's social standing is communicated through dining customs, this is a "must read".

Charming, witty and useful. A light read that covers most situations. Also a quick read. Not to long but packed with helpful hints. Afterall, Do you know where you are supposed to put your napkin when you leave the table? Hint, it's not in your seat.

For what it is, I really must rate this little volume four stars. I have yet to find a book covering this topic that I would consider the final word, but this book addresses clearly things that are routinely glossed over elsewhere. As part of a suite of books in this area, I have found this one invaluable.

I found it very easy to read. It fails to address some questions if you are looking for a more casual or simpler everyday good manners. However, that's not the purpose of the book. It specifically informs about traditional English table manners and not only accomplish it but it is also funny at times.

JUST PLAIN LOVE!!! So handy to have! Most people alive today have absolutely no idea how to do ANYTHING!! Let alone "Table manners"!!!This should be taught in every school in the LAND!!!Alas.....it will not be!
