Make sure that whatever copy you buy, has an unused code. I needed it to complete my homework. I had to return the original one and buy a new one because the used book I bought had a used code in it. Check before you buy!!
great kindle book but no page numbers makes it hard to cite for apa also cannot download it to more than three devices so when I got my new ipad i cant get to the book so buy the regular book if for collegel
This kindle version needs some review and editing. A lot of chinese characters are popping up in places where apostrophes should be, and a lot of words are jumbled together so that it is difficult to read. It's the barebone version of the book, and there isn't a "The Point" access code included. The kindle x-ray feature is also not available for this book. I recommend you purchase the actual textbook instead. I'm a bit disappointed.
I purchased this book for my daughter who is in nursing school. The courses she is taking has all gone to online books. Her instructors in the program recommended this book and told her it would be very useful in her studies. It is very well written and provides a break down of each drug and classification. It gives detailed information on adverse reactions to each drug. It gives the the process of the drugs as they break down in the body. It also gives information on how it is broke down and used in the body. The book also lists common doses and the route of delivery for each. The layout of the book is very easy to read, as well as important information delivered in graphs and charts to highlight the important information. I know a lot of people purchase their textbooks then resell them after the courses. This is one she will definitely hold onto as it is a great reference guide for anyone in the medical profession. The book also lists diagnosis that each drug would be prescribed for. There is also a bunch of illustrations that help in the learning and understanding process. The book also lists pediatric as well as adult dosages. This but ok is also organized by classifications of the type of medicine it is. For example all antibiotics are listed together. Overall I would say this book has helped to advance her learning abilities in numbers us ways, and expanded her nursing pharmacology knowledge.
The book is very helpful in my class. The Point was an excellent student resource however, I was just disappointed because I could not access the ebook despite the provided code. I was not aware that ebook for Pharmacology is a separate purchase. I wish they had an inclusive price for all of these perks..Overall the book is a handy tool for this class.
This book is easy to read, colorful, with short, precise chapters - makes reading easy on the eyes after all those other nursing manuals......I would definitely recommend this book as well as the study guide for student nurses!
Clear explanations and some really nice diagrams. Since Pharmacology is mostly memorization, this helped a lot with understanding the drug mechanisms within the body. Would recommend to fellow nursing students and teachers.
I'm not gonna lie I didn't even open this book. I've finished nursing school now. I cannot give it any less than five stars because it came in as expected and it was very easy to return by the rental date. I did not get a new book, in case anyone was wondering. However, it wasn't badly damaged at all or anything, just a few bent corners is all.
