First off, I am very surprised there is only one other review for such wonderful book:-(In my nursing school the game is called "Students, teach yourself!". Almost no one depends on the teachers. They are basically jaded nurses who ended "educating" to avoid the responsibilities of being a hospital nurse. So, the students at Keiser depend on a good textbook. However, each chapter is about 50 pages. Too long if you have to digest 2 or 3 chapters a week.From the start, I felt fairly attached to this book because the chapters are actually manageable and condenced. Moreover, it emphasizes the important information on the sidelines, the kind of stuff you underline with a marker, only the authors did an outstanding job for you. The pictures provided just enough to illustrate difficult concepts. Everything I needed for the tests was given in a clear and concise manner. I like the fact that the book provides the tests before and after each chapter. There are about 30 additional questions per chapter on the cd that comes with it. I found a well-researched article that suggested the best way to study is to take a test first, even if you don't know the subject-this will orient you in the right direction and will put the foundation to promote learning.After spending about 10 hours per week reading my class textbook, I gave up, and completely relied on this book. In this particular class, the tests were not very comprehensive, but I suspect that in any other school, one would find this book as useful and valuable as it covers material in the same order as covered in my class.This book is a real deal and true help. This one I won't sell after the class is done, I got attached to it.
