The course is overwhelming if you are new to oncology. I am not new. However, good advise for you all. Look up every single question. EVEN if you think you know the answer. This book has them unless it is in the files of the course information. Look in those folders (listed in the course) you will find the info you need. I passed the test easily one and a half weeks into the course. They provide this book online with the course however, having it in your hands is soooooo much easier.

This is a text book so what can I say. It's a gift for my wife who will be taking this test shortly and wanted the hard copy on hand.So far she says it is very helpful. ( she's an RN OCN ) and has been a nurse for 46 years.

I recently bought this book for the renewal of my Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification. When you enroll in the course you are given the e-book but I was not satified with that version as I usually prefer the paper text book. In this case I would say it is not needed. This is not a book I will use very often at home and my place of work has a copy on hand. The quality of the pages is also not great the pages are very thin and they easily get hung up on the ring binder when changing pages, for the amount paid for this book I would expect higher quality.

The book was helpful for a refresher for experienced Oncology nurses. The information was valuable for recertification. This would not be a good source for new nurses trying to certify. The material is too complex and overwhelming.

I'm old school and even though I got the online book with the package for the class, I made sure to buy the hard copy. I like how easy it is to navigate on this book. The tables are very helpful and quick to find.

This book is great. I like the fact that is already written out in an out line form so when reading it is like I already have a set of notes to follow, though I am still taking notes on it. It's a great resource to have.

This course was not what I expected, and I'm disappointed. The book will not be very useful in my practice, there are better resources for drug reference. The test was ridiculously detailed. I am very surprised ONS doesn't have a better course.

I used it to take my chemotherapy & biotherapy certification test. While the e-version is provided with the test, for me, it is just so much more helpful to have this in my hand.
