This was not a required reading for me but it has definitely been useful in my other graduate nursing classes. Ideas are easy to follow. This is a keeper. I will hold on to it for reference.
Required textbook, but I found I referenced back to it numerous times as I had to develop teaching plans for other classes. Good choice.
Required reading. Not painful. ;) I bought the paperback edition, but due to it's thick, stocky size, I wish I had bought the Kindle edition. It is really difficult to hold open, especially the first and last few chapters. The information is fairly interesting, just the book is cumbersome. I would have preferred a hardback that lays open (doesn't come in that option). I was hoping for at least a Kindle match-book, but no such luck.
Used for teaching and learning in nursing school very helpful. Would recommend this book if required to be used nursing school. Handy to have as a reference lots of great ideas.
I bought this book for a class I was taking and was thrilled when I realized how easy to follow and informative it was, considering education as a nurse for me only involved teaching my patients about how to manage their illnesses or maintain their health. I still don't feel being an educator is my calling, but it turns out my natural knack for it is by far improved due to the things I learned through this book in conjunction with my class! I would highly recommend it to any nurse, regardless of your specialty!
Well organized book. Contains many important teaching theories and offers a great overview about how to develop a lesson plan.
