good price, an excellent resource for precepting. We have developed a new nurse residency program and really want to build a strong pool of preceptors. this is a great guide for developing your program.
I used this book as a reference for a preceptor class at my organization. Pretty thorough and encompassed all of the major pieces preceptors might consider. I would not recommend it for the average nurse out there precepting though. As I was reading the book, I was thinking that an average staff nurse is not going to get through this material easily during the course of their day. There was a fair amount of theoretical content as well that most staff nurses would gloss over and go right to the applicable tips. I think the concepts were broad and of use mostly for educators. Nicely done.
