This is a nice dictionary- very helpful- but it is not pocket or purse size. It is thick and the size of a paperback novel. We wanted it to carry around on our trip to France and it was too big for what we wanted to carry most days.
This was a requirement for my daughter's french class. She absolutely loves it and refers to it frequently. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition. We would definitely recommend this.
I've been wanting to buy a French-English dictionary for some time. I only have a really large hard cover Cassell's dictionary and I wanted something smaller for my French Club. This fit the bill nicely!
This is a very useful dictionary for current words involving medicine and the internet, as well as general words and phrases. It also contains lists of verb conjugations.
I chose Larousse Pocket E-F/F-E Dictionary for my granddaughter who is in beginning French class. She said it helps a lot and is not cumbersome to carry in her backpack. I have one too to reinforce my French heritage and we can share her French lessons together.
I bought this for my 13 year old son to use while he was in Quebec. It was great to have English to French translation but it would have been nice to have the French word written phonetically. My son still had a very difficult time pronouncing the French words.
The dictionary includes a considerable number of words and its smaller size (compared to the regular size) makes it easier to carry with other books and papers although it is still quite thick.
Great dictionary for the price, in fact you cant beat the price. The listing says compact, however its not as compact as i would have loved but its not huge either.The size is fine, but its mostly the thickness.I believe the content is very complete and accurate.
