I used this book and the first edition as well as the white papers and just passed my exam. The new CNL exam cut off score is now 89%. If you read the white papers, read this book a few times and go over the questions in the back a couple of times you will have no problem passing the exam. Review change theory, leadership theory, and nursing theory.
Now I must warn you. I only read half the book and did around 107 of the questions BUT I did pass the CNL exam on the first try! The book was easy to read and although at times repetitive, it was helpful. I would highly suggest this book. Also, for future exam takers, try not to stress and read every question carefully. Do not answer carelessly because you're tired.
This book, indeed, was a wise investment. It's the updated version of this text which sorely was needed. It's concise, well written and easy to understand.
