I'm on a Language Pathology MSc in the UK where there is quite a bit of emphasis on anatomy and practical classes where cadavers are used. This book has been invaluable for helping me understand gross anatomy - I took it into practicals with me. Having not used it for a while I am now about to write an essay on laryngeal control and just had a 20 minute panic thinking I'd lost my beloved atlas. I am relieved to have found it as I know it will keep me on track. Beautiful diagrams and detail where needed. It was costly and I worried that it wouldn't be worth it but honestly, I can't recommend it enough. Best buy.
This is a great reference book to have. I'm a graduate student and I use this book all the time! It's a lot easier to carry this around for reference than my anatomy textbook. The descriptions are concise and the drawings are awesome.Worth the investment!
This book is very essential to me, and it's very helpful. However, when I received the book, it was completely torn apart. Almost all of the pages were torn out of the book, and I had to pay about $20 more just to get it fixed. I would have sent it back, but I needed it for my class. Before I bought the book, I made sure to check its condition, and it said that it was in "great" condition, with some highlighting already in it. The highlighting didn't bother me at all, but I expected to receive a book that was actually intact. I could have just as well, spent full price for a new book than spending more than half of full price just getting it repaired.
This is a great book full of beautiful and detailed pictures. Amazing charts too! My only complaint is there in nothing on swallowing (despite the title)- a little misleading.
Expensive but it is a great book, very useful as a supplementary text to my classes. If you are going to be a speech pathologist this would be a great choice to purchase and not rent.
Clear, well formatted. Certainly timeless. For a student of speech pathology and met the needs for education and classes.Standard stuff.
If you are taking an Anatomy class you've gotta get this supplemental. The pictures are amazing!
This is a great study tool for Speech Path or Audiology students. The color coded diagrams really help clarity anatomy.
