I don't know how else to put this: this is the silliest, most light-weight piece of nonsense I have read in a long time. Stuffed to the gills with hyperbole and conjecture, this "biography" reads like a terrible, trashy romance novel and is utterly unworthy of a woman of Emma Goldman's stature.I should have known that such a slim volume couldn't possibly do justice to the life of a great revolutionary.
Emma Goldman comes alive in this brilliant, vividly written book. Each sentence is razor sharp which makes the book a true page turner. It could not be more relevant given Occupy Wall Street or indeed The Tea Party. I loved this book.
This is an excellent account of Emma Goldman. I'm reading it in one of my grad classes and it's very enthralling. A story about a woman I had heard little about but am loving her courage and fire.
both the author and subject come across wonderfully. I highly recommend this book- a delicious and quick read that will leave you wanting more!
