Puppy stock photos plus fun facts... cute for my 3-5 year old girls who like dogs. On tablet some of the photos are cut in half and you see the front of the dog on one page and flip to see the other half on another. Alright for young ones but definitely not for older kids.
My toddler and i liked reading this book. The fact about some mean dog mothers rejecting their puppies broke my heart. I laughed at the gross part that dogs carry their ids...in their butts...not literally...but for survival. The puppy pictures were adoreable. I love the wrinkled puppies. The puppies with kittens and a guinea pig pictures were awesome. Great book.
This was such a cute book that my kids enjoyed it and made me read it to them a few times and the love dogs and all animals. They some new things about puppies and dogs as well as loving the beautiful pictures as well in the book. They love how when it talks about their dog's feeding that they are able to do that themselves. They both love to take turns when it comes to feeding our family dog so it makes them feel good about themselves.This was a small book but my kids enjoyed it but would been nice if it has more details or so about the animals but did learn a few new things that the had loved to share with others about the facts they did learn from this book. The really enjoyed seeing all the cute dogs in the book that showed them that their is a variety of breads in the world.
I would love to give it a higher rating, but the author must reconsider some of the content age group level. I found this book in the kid's free kindle book section. I was tutoring a second grader who wanted to read this book. After the first few pages the child's parent and I were dismayed to find that the term Caesarean section and other references to the child birthing process were in the book. This level of content is inappropriate for young children. Author needs to post age range for kid reader's some where.
If you are looking for a lot of awe and oooo's - this is the ebook to cuddle up with your little one. We have ooo'd over this ebook a dozen times at least.The images are just melt your heart cute. The facts are short and interesting but my little ones just love the images and of course want one of each puppy we see.
The photos in this were beautiful. Someone did a great job taking and editing them. However, the pages with the text on them were hard to read. Someone needs to re-edit this and change those pages so that you can read them easier. Also, it was really annoying that the full spread pictures, were cut in half and on separate pages. If those things were changed, that would make this book much more enjoyable.Overall, nice puppy book.
It was ok. Did not hold the attention of my 5 year old very well because there really was not much to it, but any child that loves dogs would love the photos. I only give this 4 stars because I liked it, but I was hoping my child would too because that was the main reason I got it. Thank you!
While it really is a cute book that can be used for two levels being the cute pictures of the puppies and for the older child or adult they include basic information about dogs in general. Real sweet book until your little one overturns the page and sees a dog standing and urinating on the floor. That part can really be dropped!
