I liked the previous edition of this text, and I love the new edition. It's a concise, informed discussion of many of the issues faced by advanced practice nurses today.
This book gets 5 stars it contain all that you need to know about the advanced practice nurse roles functions, legislation , policy , reimbursement etc.,
This is a great and very informative text for the learner who is not well versed in the political, "CYA" aspect of advanced practice. At times, however, I found it to be somewhat contradictory depending on the underlying understanding of the reader from "chapter" to chapter. Yes, the context of each chapter/unit was written by different authors so that probably accounts for the confusion. I enjoyed reading the text, and how often can one really say that about a textbook? I'd give 4.5 stars if able.
This is a good compilation of papers by many different authors, met my expectations for the NP course I am taking

The information was good, the book was well organized but there are A LOT of typographical errors-maybe the editor should get a better proof-reader!
