There are better books out there.This book for studying was at minimum 'OK' but when it came time for testing your critical thinking skills, it was lacking in all important categories.Under the rationale section they did not identity(1) Nursing Process(2) Client need category/subcategory(3) cognitive level. This book also did not provide the ability to test your skills as you learned each specific area of nursing.The on-line link needed for the test bank was not user friendly and required several calls to technical support. The link needed for the test bank ALSO kept wanting to up-sale you before being able to continue to your ALREADY PAID FOR PRODUCT.I was very disappointed in this study tool and needed to purchase a different book Lippincott's NCLEX-PN Alternate Format Questions (ABSOLUTELY AMAZING BOOK) The greatest disappointment of the HESI nclex-PN book, was the company ELSEVIER (Evolve.Elsevier.com) After I identified all that the book I purchased was lacking with regards to the current testing requirements of the NCLEX Elsevier wanted to take no responsibility for the book and differed me to seek satisfaction from . Elsevier also admitted to and confirmed their lack of knowledge about the NCLEX testing style CAT.I would never recommend any of their books or study recourses to anyone. This book was a poor choice and a waist of money and my time.
The book is broken down into different topics: Leadership & Management, Med-Surg, OB & Peds, Test-taking, and etc. Very helpful book!!!
This book does a great job reviewing the strong points of nursing! Great study guide! The practice tests really help and have some of the same questions seen on the actual Hesi (I took about 3 Hesi tests so far)
I purchased this book for someone studying for LVN, she found it to be extremely helpful, moreso than her class notes. She passed the exam and onto the NCLEX national exam, which the same book supports. Great study tool.The experience with the seller was pleasant the product arrived timely.
This book is a perfect refresher for the HESI EXIT or even just to use after each term for the HESI finals. Really covers all the most important topics for each section and gives great study tips. Would definitely recommend this to any nursing student.
I bought this book because I am a nursing student who takes several Hesi exams per semester and I was hoping this book would give me some inside info. My school says there is no way to study for Hesi exams because it is a national based test, so you never really know what will be on it. I cant really say this book helped me, its basically just another NCLEX style book...it wont hurt you, but if you're buying it to pass Hesi exams...save your money! The gaurenteed way to pass any Hesi is studying that Nclex book! I used Saunders Nclex and I never failed a Hesi PS I just graduated nursing school as valedictorian :)
If you need to study for the LVN NCLEX this is the best book to use!! It really helps you with the subjects and gets you ready for how the test questions are asked. It also tells you the rationalization for the answers , I found it extremely helpful!!
