What is is, as said by another; A cheat sheet of admit orders for common maladies. For someone new, it will save SO much time. Its not a comprehensive guide to disease. Get the Mass manual or Ferris practical guide for that.Sadly, its so POORLY constructed, that you will have to go somewhere and get it rebound before it falls apart - within days. Two friends bought this edition and that was their experience. I have the 2012 edition, and its holding up fine. What happened?
great updates from the prior version. a must have for interns, residents, house officers, and even hospitalists who are doing inpatient admissions and wards. also really good to have even in an outpatient, office, clinic, ambulatory setting.
What a piece of s*** of a book. This is the second book that I ordered that is poorly assembled. The manufacturers couldn't even put in the time to ensure that the text isn't crooked and that the binding is sealed completely. So disappointed
I give 4 stars bc the info is concise and great. However, the quality stinks. The color printed pages are blurry (can still read them but blurry!) and the binding shifts from front to back so the edge margins are narrow at front and increase to "normal" in the back. Also, only half of the book's binding is actually glued. Fortunately the pages didn't get clipped, except for a smidge on the blurry color pages. I will return to try for a better one. It's a shame it isn't a tad better in binding.
I love the content of this book. Extremely useful for the internship survival, actually my program director included it in a list of recommended books for all the internal medicine interns! The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is the quality of the book. It feels like it is falling apart and will need to be wired soon! Other than that it is a great book!
the material its made of is cheap and the binding is horrible. its basically a print out of a copy of the original book.
This book was poorly assembled. The first half of the book has one type of pages/typeface and the last half has another...literally different colors. Within one day of using it, several of the pages just fell out. I'm going to have to pay to have it wire bound just to use it.
Info is good, but like other reviews, pages fell out within first 5 openings...
