I love this book! I am taking an introductory ECG class in graduate school & I found this book to study. It is simple, easy to understand, & includes all the basic concepts of cardiac rhythms with great explanations & examples. The required book for this class was Practical Electrocardiography by Barry Connor, but I am having a much more difficult time reading it. I have even suggested to the professor that he switch textbooks for the class!
This book starts with the basics and builds up into more difficult concepts with each consecutive chapter. I feel confident, with continued practice and study from this book. This book will remain on my shelf as an excellent reference. This book is paperback. I have not tried the CD inside the book's cover. I do use the end-of-chapter games (word search, crossword search, and quizzes) and I do write on the study strips. I have even used the definitions listed before every chapter by writing out my own flashcards for study.
I really like this book. It's written in simple terms easy to understand. It is interactive and most importantly has a critical thinking section which asses the students memory or knowledge of what they just read w/in the chapter. The organization of the book is well developed in aiding the learning experience of students like myself. This book is packed with a bundle of wonderfulresources such as word finds and even pre-designed note cards containing the dysrhythmias!!! I couldn't have chosen a better textbooks If I were the instructor of a Med-Surg nursing course!!!
This book is great for the first time reader or for those looking for a review of cardiac rhythms. It also gives valuable information on cardiac drugs. The book is very easy to read and follow.
This book has everything I needed for nursing, descriptions, illustrations, and summaries of each dysrthymia I could want. I am very pleased. It's the best first book to learn from. Shan B.

Great seller-I needed the book in a hurry and the seller was very accommodating. Unfortunately, the book was described as "Excellent-Like New." This was not the case. The book is in great condition but many of the pages had writing on them. Considering the fact that this is a workbook, it is pretty distracting to see what someone else filled in for the answers. I would have paid more for a book that did not contain writing. This seller needs to consider the definitions on for their criteria of Like New, etc.
