Having now just sat for the exam, I can say without hesitation that this book was not only unhelpful to my preparation; it mostly served to unduly confuse and alarm me. The sample questions are riddled with outdated concepts and esoterica, to the extent that I was convinced the actual test might not fairly reflect contemporary practice. I'm pleased to report that the actual test seemed very reasonable and appropriate to the necessary scope of trauma nursing. Fingers crossed, I think I did pretty well in spite of this study aid.In fairness I must admit that the book isn't COMPLETE foolishness. But even if only 10-20% of the questions are screwy, the reader cannot be expected to decide which ones can be (nay, SHOULD be) ignored.Perhaps most aggravating is that every question includes a link for readers to click in order to notify the publisher if it needs improvement. So they publish an inferior text and let paying customers edit it free of charge. Get 1st Edition readers to principly edit the 2nd Edition, and call it devotion to customer feedback. That's just genius.
