This book will introduce you to the world of nursing more than you ever thought possible. Potter and Perry sure spent some time on this one. It's easy to read, and contains end of chapter review questions of an NCLEX style. Very helpful. Also, if you need to pump some iron, this book will get you into shape. It's quite heavy!
I use this book literally every single day! I love it! I only use two books out of the 15 or so (yes, I'm exaggerating) that they had us order. This one & a book for Pharmacology (Pharmacology & The Nursing Process 6th Ed. Vital Source Page Burst). This book has great illustrations, & definitions for everything! You won't regret your purchase! :)
I needed this book for school. I am in the nursing program and needed this book for my fundamentals class. The book is very clear and makes the class a little easier to understand. It provides step by step instructions for certain assessments that you will use. I would recommend this book to anyone in the medical field.
Good book to teach Freshman nursing students because it lays good basic foundation of nursing care. I found the many case studies and review questions at end of chapters useful in stimulating critical thinking.Recommend this book to other Freshmen nursing students and their educators.
This book has essentially been my Bible through my first year in Nursing school and I see myself using this as a reference for the rest of my Nursing career.
I enjoyed reading some of the text but it has way to much managerial blah blah blah for my needs. Still useful -- I felt totally lost caring for my mom when she came home from hospital and this helped calm me down somewhat. Just wish it were more practical for "basic" nursing.
Wow...could this book get any more boring? Tons of repetitive information. Seriously, this entire book could've been written in half the number of pages. Not to mention that there was information not consistent with their headings. Made for a very confusing read.
I am going to school to become a nurse and got this for my class. Love the fact that has books a lot cheaper and can still find them in great condition! The books will be very helpful obviously!
