Pros: Additional NCLEX questions, including separate SATA questions, for each chapter. The fill in the blank questions, matching questions, etc. also help focus reading and clarify whether the reading was understood.Cons: Zero rationales are given for the NCLEX answers.
Great for first year students.The guide itself is well written and easy to complete and study with. I really appreciated that it has the answers in the back, because often I would find myself only knowing half, or not being able to correctly form the answer and I didn't want to mess up. Thus far I have done a few chapters and I have to say, it has been very helpful for studying before my first Unit test in Lecture. It is also very helpful in the Lab situation.Overall this book is great for students.
This book does not give you rationales to know why the answer is correct and incorrect, so is not all that great. I would not recommend it , but if you need to buy it because your school requires it, then there is no option, you need to get it; otherwise don't buy it. You want to learn the reasons why, you don't want to stay with the doubts of why is it wrong, why is it right; you want to know!!. Yes, critical thinking but you still want the rationale to increase your learning.
Used this thing for a whole semester. The questions helped me pass so many test in my first semester. If you do all the questions it will help you with NCLEX style questions.
