Only received volume 2!!!! I've been looking through reviews and it looks like this has happened to a lot of people, only sometimes they only get volume 1 instead of volume 2!! Come on guys, get your act together! This could already be behind on my first day of nursing school!
These textbooks arrived in even better shape than I expected them to. And, since they were eligible for Prime (Student), they arrived exactly two days after I ordered them. The price of the two volumes combined is something else I appreciated! I am convinced that I couldn't have bought/found this textbook combo anywhere else in this good of condition, pricing, and shipping!Both textbooks came plastic wrapped together and neither one had a single scratch or marking on them. I was even more relieved to find my unused DavisPlus Plus Code on the inside of the Volume 1 cover. I will be using that so it comforted me to see that I had everything I needed. I also wanted to make a point to those interested in buying, that Volume 1 is hardback and Volume 2 is paperback. Sure, this may seem inconvenient because hardback is always the most durable, but the company itself is who makes it that way.I basically received two brand new textbooks as I would have if I had bought them from the publisher. Except, I paid much less in item price/shipping than I ever could have gotten away with with the publishing company.I will say that I am absolutely satisfied with this purchase. And I would recommend it to anyone, but especially to other first year nursing school students who may (or may not) be paying for school and textbooks out of pocket, like I have to (at least this school year). I hope that my review helps someone in making their decision of whether or not to purchase.
Great, exactly what I was looking for. Wasn't expecting one hard cover and one soft cover, but I'm glad I was able to get them both for one low price. Used fast shipping, books arrived in a couple days. Would order from same again.
I just received the books. FYI volume 1 is hardcover and volume 2 is soft cover. The softcover book came with a bent corner already. I'm really disappointed because it's a lot harder to take care of softcover when carrying the book around which I have to. The edges always get bent and the book itself gets into bad condition which is why I specifically looked for the hardcover option. Oh well, this package was cheaper than other options, and I need the book tomorrow so I'll deal with it but just a heads up if anyone else was wondering.
Books came as expected in good condition, but the access code does NOT allow you to access Davis Edge (for class or practice quizzes) or to view the online videos on Davis Plus. All you get are "previews" of 6 or so of the full 126 videos they offer as "premium."I thought I would be saving money purchasing through instead of through the publisher directly through my school, but I've instead had to spend more to buy all the extensions. The book did come with a code, however, it's just relatively useless. It does give you the ability to have a pdf copy of the text, but that's about it.
I only recieved volume 2!!!! This is supposed to be both volumes and volume 1 was the most important one I needed today!!!!
I bought this based on the ISBN that I was purchasing volume 1 AND volume 2 however I only received volume 1. In looking at the listing I don't think this is a set at all. There is only one book shown and it states VOLUME 1. Very irritated. I will just purchase mine directly from the publisher.
Arrived quickly and was exactly as described. Both volumes were included in the package as well as the access code for online materials. This package was significantly cheaper than buying from my school's bookstore, so I'm extremely pleased!
