I love the Pocket PQD for reference. When I learned this new addition was released I was so excited. However, after reviewing the calculations on the quick reference chart for rebreathing systems, I'm very disappointed and concerned. The math is wrong. Way wrong! This type of error is very dangerous to distribute and could cost an animal it's life. Shame on you, Mosby for not properly editing your material.
This is a small pocket book for veterinarian and veterinarian technicians. The book is very small but has many pages of great material. My boyfriend is a vet tech and I bought this for him, the second he saw it it blew him away. He loves it. The material is AMAZING. It assists him in his career which is great. We're buying this same exact book for his coworker who has been in the field for over 15 years, so it's not just a book for beginners. His coworker looked at this book and said the material was very useful and informative, even for her in a long time career. I am so happy to have bought this for my boyfriend. He loves it, and he uses the new terms he reads from it daily. I'm so proud of him and this book.
This is the best little book to carry around during internships or in general until the state boards. It has an incredible amount of applicable information that you use on a daily basis while in the hospital. I keep it in my scrub pocket during my internships and it has helped me SO much. Highly, highly recommend purchasing for anyone in school to become an RVT or vet.
After stepping out of the veterinary tech game for a little bit and coming back, I needed a little refresher. This helped me refresh on the basics and will be super handy to keep on hand. Great little size can fit right in your scrub pants pocket right when you need it.
The size is perfect and fits right into my pocket. It is definitely being used for training of new hires and quick references. A few pages were not rung through so that is a bummer but that is really the only thing I have to complain. I would recommend this to any newbie vet tech/assistant and even seasoned ones who want their book full of school notes from years ago to look nice and organized.
Fits in my scrub pockets nicely, is pretty easy to read and thumb through. Color pictures which are a great help. Nice resource to have on you when you suddenly go blank on certain procedures. Of course, like any vet med text, I always make sure that I confirm with my attending just to play it safe.
I purchased this PDQ after already becoming a certified veterinary technician. I found it very helpful in the clinical setting. It's always super helpful especially while training new veterinary assistants. We just get this book out and help them along. I even got some of the girls I work with to buy it.
HOLY CRAP, THIS EXISTS?!?!?! This thing is freaking awesome! As soon as I randomly stumbled upon this, I immediately purchased it! It literally has EVERYTHING! I work in a vet and I am going to school to become an LVT as well, I am almost done, but every single thing I learned at school is all in this little book, its crazy! The only thing is, I wished it was a little larger and the covers were laminated to protect it a little more. This thing will definitely come in handy when I get ready for tests and if I forgot anything at work.
