This was a good read! I purchased it for a college class that I was taking. I really enjoyed it. I have 6 kids and didn't realized I could learn anymore from a textbook than I already knew from my own children, but it taught me a lot! I'd recommend it.
Great book! Really overlaps with many psychology classes. The first chapters are nearly the same as my freshman psychology course. After that it is really more focused on adolescent health and psychology. Long chapters, but it has lots of diagrams and real world examples.
I recently bought this book for a class online. Comparing this book from the other two psychology books I have to read, this is by FAR the most interesting one. I love Jeffrey Arnett's point of view and research on adolescence. It always finish reading the chapters on time because it's not boring! It's a fun learning experience! I definitely recommend this book if you are taking a adolescent psychology course, and if the teacher demands for this book - you'll absolutely love it!
I wish I knew I was only able to load it to one device. I like having it on my phone and computer to do my work on the go and at home. It is super inconvenient to only be able to load it on to one device.
This textbook is very interesting. I always look forward to reading this book. This kind of information I have very interested in and it's easy to related too. I like to know how cultures perceive this age development. This has a lot of good information in it.
I really enjoyed reading this book for my adolescent psychology class. It was both informative and educational; the author adds some of her personal stories with her children. Lots of statistics and comparisons between adolescent development in the United States and other countries. Some statistics are quite shocking and will make you more aware of where we stand as a society.
I recommend people consider buying different versions of this textbook because it often ends up cheaper. Mine was made for a binder and I liked it. The ebook version is even cheaper.Pristine shape, got everything I needed.
Very well written textbook. The chapters are a bit long winded but the author adds little jokes through out that catch you off guard and make you smile. It it not a hard read and makes the topic interesting.
