The back of the book was incredibly helpful. It tells you what the meter is for every poem along with some notes on some of the more difficult forms. It also contains a section reviewing all the important people you find in the poems. All in all it was a great book, although not something I'd recommend for beginners. Definitely an intermediate level book. The book takes for granted you've probably had a year of Latin or so and so you should already know the forms. There is a glossary but not all the words are there. A dictionary would be worth investing in.
Complete, in latin, text of the poet Catullus's poems. If only the glossary was just a little bit longer.
Excellent student addition. Explanatory notes are very helpful.
a good book
This tome is a gift for my nephew who is studying modern languages at Tufts University in Boston. I know that he will enjoy many hours pouring over the words between the covers
