I enjoyed the read. The characters are interesting and there's plenty of room for developement. However, there are enough obvious grammatical errors to make it look like the book wasn't proofread; many of those errors appear to be the result of not cleaning things up after passages were rewritten. None of the seriously affect the flow of the read. The author has created an interesting world and magic system. I'll be looking forward to the next in the series.
Just finished this book. Good timing because it released when I finished the first. It was good, fast moving and fun to read. The story engages one right away and keeps the pages turning. I hope it doesn't take too long for the next book to be released.
