Overall a good book with a lot of interesting references - and to that point, this book is best if you use it as a springboard into other deeper literature and theory. The chapters are structured in a way that someone new to the topic could understand, but the material becomes redundant over time and heavily recycled towards the end - bold-faced words appear over and over throughout the book and are defined slightly differently in different contexts. Not bad for a discussion starter but definitely not something I would be citing a lot in a dissertation.

These are must reads to understand current thinking and understanding in ELT. Beautiful anthology which is easy to understand.

Got it for a TESOL class. Met my expectations.
