As a mother of a 16 year old athlete, I have to say that Dr. Burleson's book was very informative. For our son, being in sports is a key issue when it came to having braces. Dr. Burleson's questions and answers answered questions that I still was not completely sure about. It reinforced our decision to get Invisalign opposed to metal braces and helped us know that we were still on track with where he needed to be. Good book.

I'm an actual Invisalign patient of Dr. B and his excellent staff. Prior to starting treatment, I had a ton of questions related to Invisalign, what to be expect, how long it should take, how my teeth should be moving, is Invisalign just as effective as regular braces, etc. This book will answer any and all of your questions you might have. Some have stated this book, while being informative, is rather lengthy -- that's not necessarily a bad thing at all. When you're investing as much money in something as important as your teeth, you want to be as informed as possible in regards to the treatment... this book does nothing short of that. Definite must read for anyone looking for the services of an orthodontist.

My husband is turning 40 this year. As a teenager he had braces, but when a sudden change in income occurred the family could no longer afford them. The braces were removed before the teeth were fixed. My husband seldom smiles in photos having always been concerned about his appearance. When our son got braces, my husband kept talking about how we were going to make sure they were fixed right, not like his. I tried to tell him he could get braces too if he really wanted and finish what was started years ago. He didn't want to "draw attention" or have other problems. When we read this book, the technology used, getting to "see" the results before the product was in place, payment options and all of the pro's associated with Invisalign, I think he might have just found his 40th birthday present!

As someone who has had the privilege to wear Invisalign and the privilege of reading Dr. Burleson's book, I can honestly say I was impressed with my Invisalign experience. The book depicts the simplicity and relative comfort of treatment, even with complicated cases. The key is having an amazing orthodontist, like Dr. Burleson, who is able to give you all of the pros and cons of your treatment plan upfront; providing affordable options/means of receiving it; and giving you the freedom and flexibility of aligning treatment to your lifestyle (eating, drinking, sports, etc.). If you are not fortunate enough to have access to the aformentioned, read The Consumer's Guide to Invisalign; you will be in excellent hands!

Very good in-depth information. For me, this was too much information for being an informative book. At 150+ pages I would not expect, as a patient, I would be interested in reading the entire book. We were sold on the invisalign system for our oldest son with a lot less information, and Dr. Burleson's staff kept us well informed throughout the process. I am sure if you are a detailed person this information would help you make an very informed decision. As a side note, our youngest was unable to benefit from the invisalign system and had to go the wired route.

With one child finally through braces, one in current orthodontic care, and most likely one or two more down the road, orthodontic care is not only a main topic in our household, but also a big expense as well! Invisalign is something as an adult that I've thought about now too! (The braces from 30 years ago did the trick then, but your adult teeth will shift over time!). You want your kids to have the best confident smile in life so why not you too? But the added expense is something to consider. The good thing is...Invisalign can be affordable especially with all the great payment options available to you! This book is really helpful at explaining if Invisalign is an option for me in the near future!!

Reading this book made me feel like I was sitting across the table with the author in a consultation appointment. It is an easy read and personable. Well written.I gave this 5 stars for a few reasons:1) Most if not all of your questions will be answered in this book from the consultation all the way through to the end of your treatment with Invisalign.2) There is a Q&A section I thought was quite helpful that addresses the most common questions about Invisalign. If anyone had any doubts about Invisalign, this book would definately help you erase those doubts.3) The book also gives the history and technology of the Invisalign System that is quite interesting.

I have always wondered how exactly Invisalign works. The book walks you through the process with an easy to follow flow and understandable terms. I feel that anyone who is considering teeth straightening for themselves or their children (teens and above) can make an informed decision after reading this book. You learn a lot of good information you may not have even though of or considered...do you have crowns or restorations, do you smoke, do you have limited time for appts etc. I was surprised to learn how quickly the treatment works, and the chapter that discussed wisdom teeth was an added bonus! I also appreciated the honest feedback about the drawbacks or issues that some people may have.
