“Obamabomb” - a term borrowed from the Center for Security Policy – is a good read, for anyone interested in what drives our national security policy on Iran’s atomic ambitions. Few things can be more important than nuclear proliferation and promoting world peace. But unfortunately, while our USA strategists make noises like a Hemi, there’s nothing under the hood.In “Obamabomb” Fred Fleitz, former CIA analyst, details the unfolding designs of a malignant narcissist and his corps of bobble-head PR men. They’re all here. Valarie Jarrett, the Iranian-American mastermind Chicago pol with no national security experience; John Kerry, who famously branded American troops the hordes of “Gengis Khan”; and persuasion wizard Ben Rhodes, a man so sophomoric that, after duping a nation, he couldn’t resist complaining about how stupid the media was for being unable to tell he was lying. Their counterparts from Iran, a nation famed for dealmaking acumen, probably had to struggle to keep from laughing as we shrewdly insisted on giving up more and more in return for nothing.Future scholars may find in “Obamabomb” some clue as to how the United States, one-time leader of the free world, came to cringe before Darth Vader - sorry, Iran – saying “I’m altering the deal.” It is impossible to predict just how much harm will come from the legacy of a President who boasts of a fantasy coup that only makes a dangerous world far more dangerous. The final chapter offers useful ways in which the next administration might mitigate the worst of the damage. One can only hope that a critical mass of policymakers will decide to pay attention.
Obamabomb: The Fraudulent Nuclear Deal with Iran, by Fred FleitzReviewed by Sarah N. Stern, Founder and President, Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET)This stellar book written by a former CIA analyst, details the anatomy of a foreign policy disaster. It analyzes how the Obama administration managed to deceive Congress and the American people, at our own peril, and how the Obama administration, in a effort to "save the deal" has made one concession after another to an increasingly belligerent and hostile Iran, since the JCPOA was supposedly "agreed to", (although there never was a signed agreement, and theMajlis, the Iranian Parliament voted on a very different version that is over 1,000 pages long, while we in the United States were given a 159 page document to review). This book documents how flawed the agreement is, just how greatly it imperils the American people, and makes recommendations for what a future administration can do to try to rectify the damage. This should be required reading for every American adult.
Fred Fleitz is one of the nation's leading experts on the Obama Administration's feckless deal with the world's largest state sponsor of terror. Why would they make such a deal and how is that Americans could be fooled by the theater of it all? If you want to know how the government has deceived its people and how American citizens have been so thoroughly placed in danger by that deceit, read this book. As brilliant as he is, Fred writes about complex issues in understandable ways. And for him it isn't just theory and supposition, it is first hand knowledge.EVERY American should know the truth about the agreement with Iran....and take whatever measures in the ballot box to stop it.
This book is an invaluable resource for anyone wanting to look up facts about the JCPOA (Iran Deal), and at the same time a very readable narrative that covers all the important developments before and after the deal was agreed to and implemented. As the Co-Director of the Zionist Organization of America's Government Relations Dept., I have made extensive use of this book to check details of the agreement, and have even used the excellent charts in presentations.Because of his almost unique background in the CIA, combined with his time as a Congressional staffer and as a senior aide to John Bolton, Mr. Fleitz has both the knowledge of the intel community, the region, and the real way that politics works to give us a really useful short volume that covers all the essential elements of the JCPOA and our country's needed response to it."OBAMABOMB" uses clear prose and is organized into short chapters that are each very readable. I believe the title itself will probably pass into history as the popular term for the failure of US policy to contain Iran's nuclear ambitions. This book is enthusiastically recommended to both the casual reader and to professionals needing to really understand the issue.
Scary how much we have given up.
