Current Dx & Rx was initially edited by Larry Way of UCSF.Gerry Daugherty has followed in Way's steps. This is THE book I recommend to medical students interested in Surgery and to residents. I have been involved in surgical education for ~40 years. I think this book has excellent depth; the tables and illustrations are great; there are meaningful references. Current Dx & Rx fits between the "too thin" books that are more like Cliff Notes and the "too thick" books that are 1000+ pages and encyclopedic. I heartily recommend this 14th edition to anyone who has an interest in General Surgery and its cognates. It is a value buy, affordable. It is a good read in preparation for the QE and CE. I purchase copies when I make international trips to mission hospitals and leave the text behind. Five Stars. tarp
its a good book, but for the money, I'd put up a little more and just get Sabiston Text book of Surgery to be honest. More thorough and has more detailed images to help refresh old anatomy/biology review.
