Dr. Rick Niece has written another masterpiece with his distinctive and eloquent style. From the moment I picked up this book I couldn't put it down until I finished it. The love for his mother is the soul of the story. His vivid descriptive writing brings his memories to life, and the poetry between chapters gives more light to this powerful story. I highly recommend this book. It is beautifully written, highly entertaining, and very engaging.
We've read all three of Rick Niece's Fanfare for a Hometown Series. Both of us could not put this one down until we finished reading it. The story is powerful and full of memories and love and joy. We laughed and cried at the same time. Then we turned around and ordered more books to share. A great read for any day.
This was a touching book about a relationship between a Mother and her son or sons in this case. Each striving to be perfect and each failing at times as we humans do. But as the Mother passes away, all of the memories of her become Perfect in Memory and as you read this your realize the love and caring between Mom and Son. It makes you laugh, associate with, and cry at times. It is a great read and one you won't forget!
