Be warned that this book is only a list of publications about mortuary science. I didn't know that when I ordered it. I'd assumed that it was an actual mortuary science textbook that would be useful for fiction writing research. As it was not what I expected, I returned it.
As a medical librarian, I find this book to be invaluable to anyone pursuing a career in Funeral Service, as well as any academic institution providing a Funeral Science curriculum. Szabo's annotations are detailed, informative, and intelligently written. The bibliographic data cover an exhaustive range of topics, making this a concise reference source suitable for either academic or public libraries.
My husband was interested in learning more about Mortuary Science so we bought this book to help him in his studies. It's a great reference guide to show where you can go to learn more about specific topics.
