Finally, there is a resource dedicated to the physiology and pharmacology critical to understanding and practicing anesthesia. This book is a key resource for all practitioners of anesthesia, including anesthesiologists, anesthesia residents, nurse anesthetists and others who want to understand the drugs we use on a daily basis and the physiological systems they affect. It is a great basic text for students at all levels, as well as a reference resource to refresh our memory of basic principles of pharmacology and physiology. It also includes sections on the major classes of drugs relevant to anesthesia including strong sections on neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and coagulation among others. In short, this is a very important reference and tool to truly understand the basis of our specialty of anesthesiology.
Excellent and clear explanations. Comprehensive and up to date information. In depth review of pharmacology and cellular physiology of medications.
This is a great text for pharmacology and physiology concerning anesthesia practice. This book reads easily with the required depth and logically flows from subject to subject. It is well written and packed with information for commonly used drugs in anesthesia. Recommend for anyone studying the field including CRNAs, SRNAs, anesthesiology residents, fellows, and attendings.
A good book to improve knowledge in anesthesia with the necessary content between very good chapters. Recomend for anaesthesia residents.
It's a very useful book. Both, pharmacology and physiology are basis for anesthesia. This book has helped me as an anesthesiologist and my residents.
Pharmacology and physiology on par with, if not more advanced than, Miller. Unfortunately, just about as exciting to read. Its like going for a 10K run, you're happy you did it, but it sucked for the first half.
Very good for the basics concepts for Anesthesia. Good concise information with references in vancouver style.Recommended for 1st year or students in Anesthesiology :D
