Comparative Politics
Available To Downloads

Debuting in its first edition and driven by a question-based approach, Comparative Politics shows readers how to do real comparative analysis while introducing them to political institutions, identities, and interests. This thematic survey uniquely balances the how–analytical knowledge–and the what–descriptive knowledge–to help readers make their own political arguments and to thus be more critically informed and engaged political participants.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Makes understanding comparative politics easy and insightful. The book is easy to read, easy to understand, even with content that is a bit deep. This has been so useful in my studies for my comparative politics class this semester. Even if you aren't enrolled in a class like this, the book provides extremely beneficial information in understanding how things work. Politics can be difficult to maneuver for those outside its studies. This book makes it easy to understand regardless of background level. Would recommend to everyone.

Every time I see the cover of this book, I have the urge to take a sharpie and just color the whole thing black. It's not even THAT ugly, but I just can't stand it. It looks like a bad powerpoint title slide made by a high school freshman (no offense to high school freshmen). The book is also very flimsy-- it's thin and soft cover and easily damaged, which is unfortunate, because I do want to keep this book for a while.Beyond the superficial, outward judgement, this textbook is pretty good. It happens to be another one of the few textbooks I enjoy reading. The pictures are great, the introductions are fascinating and the format is really good. It can be a bit confusing at times when explaining some trickier definitions, but overall, it does an excellent job of drawing you into the world of comparative politics.

This was my political science class. Chapters easily laid out and reviews an excellent add which is great for reviews.

i bought this book for my daughter ,i can said nothing about it...

Great book and serves its purpose

For what it is, it's very informative. My teacher was excited to use it because she had the author as a professor in her own political science studies. However, coming from the perspective of a libertarian anarchist, this book is filled with state promoting propaganda, even going to the extent to say that democracies don't use any propaganda on their subjects. This book talks about the social contract for one paragraph stating that governments are necessary but that argument is logically inconsistent. You cannot believe what comes out of this book if it cannot first address the issues facing the existence of the state.

Came with the edge sort of falling apart and had to be really careful with it.
