After 25 years of marriage, I decided that I would begin reading to my wife at bedtime. Not knowing where to begin, I chose this book on love poetry. To call it successful would be quite the understatement. My wife loved the gesture and the poetry, often times she cries as I read these poems to her. She said that "no one writes like that anymore," to which I replied, "I am not sure that any one loves like that anymore." What a tremendous way to broaden your literary and romantic horizons. I even had one poem made into a print and it is now prominently displayed in our bedroom.

"Love Poem Collection - The Greatest Love Poems" is a great addition to anyone looking to expand their digital library of poetry. The poems collected herein are both uplifting, lovely, moving, and downright heartbreaking (in the later part of the book titled "Poems About Losing Love").The Table of Contents is active, meaning you can click each author/title of a poem and be taken right to it; Kindle users will appreciate the meaning of this. You can scroll through the Table of Contents, pick a poem, read it, then hit back and it takes you right where you left off in the Contents, which is very helpful. As for the amount of poems, there are well over 100, including some of my favorites: "She Walks in Beauty" by Lord Byron; "Serenade", "Annabel Lee", "To Helen" -- all by Edgar Allen Poe; "To Mary" by John Clare; and too many more to name. There are a lot of poems here, and they should provide hours of reading and studying. The publishers even accept new poems via submissions (through their site) and, so the book says, give you any of the future editions [of this book] free of charge.I should also note that I am indeed a man. Poetry has always been a big part of my life; I started reading it at an early age and writing it soon after. In my opinion, some of the greatest poems are written about love (or loss thereof). So even though these are "Love Poems", don't be cajoled into thinking they should only appeal to women. Take "Annabel Lee" for example. This is my personal favorite poem; Vladimir Nabokov even uses it as a sort of "opening" in his novel "Lolita".There is a lot to be learnt reading and studying poetry, and many emotions to be felt. All in all "Love Poem Collection - The Greatest Love Poems" lived up to my expectations for a poem collection. I'm happy I purchased it, and for $2 no less! Not that that should be a motivation, the poems themselves are priceless.

"Love Poem Collection" is a collection of classic love poems. It has a working table of contents, is well formatted and has lots of engaging poems. As soon as I started reading I recognized some of my favorite poems. Here are some I really enjoyed:Christopher Marlowe's "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love"Shakespeare's Sonnets (18, 46, 116, 130, 153)Ben Johnson's "Song: To Celia"Elizabeth Barrett Browning's "How Do I Love Thee"William Wordsworth's "Daffodils"I also came across lesser known poets and some poets I had never heard of. This book does also have quite a few poems by Emily Dickinson. The topics include: sweet kisses, secrets, friendship love, passionate love, beauty, longing, loneliness, rejection, death and sorrow. If you enjoy classic poems then you should love this collection.~The Rebecca Review

Great collection, I've read all of them over and over. Really nice layout and the fonts are a good size. Some poetry books use overly fancy like script writing that's either REALLY small or really BIG!! This was neither. It was done very well, and is very easy to read.

I inherited my love of poetry from both of my parents. They would have definitely wanted to own this book. So nice to just flip through and pick out a reading or two on a quiet afternoon! Very nice collection - thanks!

Love Poem Collection. I have always been a poetry lover, and this has got all the poems one wishes that one had written! They have always meant a lot to me, but since my wife passed away, I found some of them even more poignant. Well set out, too,in chronological order in each section, and the quotations at the end are extremely good, too. Thanks George Chityil.

Book was just what I was looking for. Great 1st year anniversary present, needed to be something made of paper and this was great. My wife loved it.

Love Poetry has as a very vast repertoire And editor George Chityil has selected some of the most typical love poems. This is any editors challenge; what to select and what to omit. He has done a reasonably good job.
