This is a great source of facts and statistics for the nations of the world. Areas covered include geography, people and society, government, economy, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues.

The best of all....It's free online, too. Unless you want to carry this bulky book around.

A wealth of information at one's finger trips. Updated regularly. Nice to know that our CIA not only has such information and a lot more available but that we the American public have access to it too.

I get the new version every year for my son. He loves it!

Got this as a gift for my traveling friend. It's crammed with information, and perfect for the wanderer who loves to read about every little detail about an area of the world.

Apparently a lot of people are unaware that these factbooks are in the Public Domain, and available for free download.I'm a little amazed to see them for sale here.

Dont waste your money. Black and white book, no color other than the front cover. I thought this product would be more similar to the world fact book on the cia.gov website, but its not. This book is packed with info on all counties and maybe useful as a resource for writing papers.

Not what I wanted. (At least, I don't think so - as the print is too small to read.)
