Eleanor Roosevelt (1884-1962) was a social activist, the United States representative to the United Nations (1945-1953; 1961), and the wife of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 32nd United States President. Very good, memorable quotes from a wise woman. The only criticism I have is about the editing: the quotes are arranged alphabetically by first word (including The), whereas it would have been more helpful to have them arranged by subheaders for the eras they were written in (Depression, the War Years, post-war) or by the topics they were about (politics, the war, human rights, etc.). That would have given them context to enhance their chronological development and meaning, and also make it easier to find a quote again when you remember the idea but not the first word it's filed under.

This books has no sources for its quotations and on the first pages includes quotations that have been widely shown as misattributed to Mrs. Roosevelt. Do not waste even 99 cents and certainly do not use as a source for something that needs to be accurate.
