Intending Death: The Ethics Of Assisted Suicide And Euthanasia
Available To Downloads

At the cutting-edge of one of the most sensitive contemporary controversies, this anthology presents the most current thinking of experts in the field of the ethics of assisted suicide and euthanasia — exploring point blank issues that law and public policy have often skirted or wished away. Contains previously unpublished manuscripts developed before and after a three-day conference sponsored by the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University and the Schools of Medicine and Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. Explores the issues from three perspectives — philosophical, clinical, and political, legal, and economic perspectives.

I chose this book, which is a standard text for my LL.M. in Medical Law & Ethics.Tom Beauchamp is the Gold Standard for Medical Ethics. This book is well worth reading to deepen one's knowledge of end of life ethical issues. It is one of many such books on our Termination of Life Modular Booklist.I have not finished reading this book, so the above comments are based on my initial impressions.
